2 WAYS TO DONATE
The CMA Alliance has established a “Disaster Relief Fund” to collect donations to help physician families move forward after the disaster in Sonoma and Napa. Our immediate concern are the families of Alliance members; as the donations come in and the fund grows, we will be able to broaden our assistance to other physician families. So far, 28 Alliance members’ families have lost their home in the Santa Rosa area, and 2 in Napa.
The CMA Alliance will be collecting funds to be disbursed to help meet the immediate needs of the physician families. You can donate online below:
Or, mail your donation to:
While the Alliance is raising money for our community in general, The California Medical Association Foundation has started a fund for specifically to aid physicians and their communities.
I know many of you are unable to donate, but when your friends and associates across the country ask how they can specifically help physicians, you can send them to this link:
The SCMAAF is now on WhatsApp!
WhatsApp is one of most popular texting applications in the world. You can download it easily to your smart phone. It works a lot like Facebook Messaging app, but you don't need to be a Facebook member to use it.
Currently, the SCMAAF has 2 chat threads on WhatsApp — Meetup and Weekly Blast.
The Meetup chat thread is where you can send and receive invitations for impromptu gatherings. For example, if you're going to the beach or out for a hike, share it on the Meetup thread to invite other SCMAAF members to meet you there.
The Weekly Blast thread is where you'll receive weekly updates and info about SCMAAF events and activities. You will also be able to comment on that information.
