Seven Gardens, Including Two Homes
Seven Santa Rosa garden owners share their approaches to gardening, ideas and sources of inspiration.
After walking through this Spanish style home with its moss covered tiled roof, an exquisite garden vista opens up. The multi-level garden showcases large native oaks, many fruit trees and hundreds of blooming bulbs.
A countryside estate provides a sophisticated and tranquil setting for outdoor entertaining among towering redwoods, potted succulents, colorful flower beds, rhododendrons and charming garden structures.
Motivated to save large ailing oak trees, this gardener transformed a traditional English rose garden into a natural habitat garden certified by the National Wildlife Association. The naturalized setting attracts birds and beneficial insects.
This hands-on gardener received her gift of gardening from her grandmother with hopes to educate and pass the gift on to her grandchildren. She created a whimsical, colorful flower and biodynamic vegetable garden on a difficult hillside lot.
A child’s dream garden! Perfect for outdoor family entertaining, the hillside lot is terraced to accommodate an adorable playhouse, bocce ball court and pool.
The colorful and natural park-like sanctuary surrounding a mid-Century home was lovingly designed, created and maintained by its owner.
You will experience a gracious home and formal “white” garden in one of Santa Rosa’s historic neighborhoods which showcases an architectural patio surrounded by white roses, flowering trees and abundant beds.
