Monday, March 30th is Doctors Day. We've set an ambitious goal of raising $35,000 by that date, and will announce our achievement, as well as the names of our major donors, in the Celebrate Community section of the Press Democrat on Sunday, March 29.
A half-century of scholarships. For over 50 years, the Health Career Scholarship has helped educate students in all avenues of medicine: doctors, nurses, techs, and other medical professions. Like many in Sonoma County, our scholarship donations were deeply impacted by the fires of 2017. The entire medical profession and their families were affected by the displacement of so many members of our community.
Keep us going strong. The Health Careers Scholarship Committee continued raising money to the best of our ability to continue our mission of funding the education of both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in medical fields.
Remember Someone Special. You can designate your donation in "honor of" or "in memory of" a mentor or a friend.

Thank you, Donors! The Health Careers Scholarship would like to acknowledge the family of Bob Klose. Mr. Klose passed away in November, 2019, and his family recommended donations to our scholarship fund in lieu of flowers or notes. Mr. Klose was a writer for numerous publications in Sonoma County, including the Press Democrat. Later in his life, he spent time under the care of medical staff at Kaiser Santa Rosa and Santa Rosa Memorial hospital. He wrote of his Kaiser experience here.
